URBAN TISSUES

FIRST ISSUE 1900 ZINE

With a focus on spatial practice and material narratives, Mono no Aware is an office of architecture, urbanism, and design that probes the relationships between city, body, and time. Founded as a modulating practice and operating between São Paulo, BR, and Lyon, FR, we interlace research with built work, coupling digital and craft-based processes from the urban plan to the object detail.

Our approach stretches disciplinary boundaries, staging experiences that surface the transience—the “mono no aware”—of places and routines. Each project is conceived as an open ecosystem that invites participation, strengthens community ties, and translates urban complexity into spaces that are clear, adaptable, and contemporary.
